Black salt is a common Rock Salt found in Indian households. It is not naturally occurring but is obtained by heating Himalayan Salt crystals in a kiln and mixing it with various herbs and spices.
The result is a reddish-black color salt.

Black Salt is very salty and a bit pungent with a faint, sulfurous aroma similar to eggs.
Cooking Usage
Black Salt is used to season salads, chutneys, curries, and numerous chats. It is also a principal ingredient for Chat Masala.
